‘Get into teaching! It’s super family-friendly.’

‘Tutor children at home!’

I tried them all... and I hated each and every single one of them.

None of those things allowed me to be ​that relaxed, calm mother with time and ​energy left over for the most important ​part of my life, my family.

In fact, they made me anxious, miserable ​and too exhausted to hold a conversation ​with anyone by the end of the day.

And the pay was rubbish, too.

And so when I discovered blogging, it felt ​like someone had penned down my ​dream job description.

So I set off with a fire in my belly, ​unwavering commitment and an ​ambitious goal to one day, hopefully, ​maybeeee start making £1000 a month ​through my blog.

Here’s what happened ​instead:

It took me 4 years to figure it out.
